Galactic is a course management system written in Ur/Web, which is a functional web-oriented programming language similar to ML. The project is described in the original thesis describing it, and the source is available here
The main goal of the project was to research how to build modular information management systems in Ur/Web in particular; Galactic contain abstractions for both form elements and for mutually referential pages that will hopefully be of use in future work.
